In times long past, during the Qin Bokuko era (reign: BC659-621), there was a man named Sonyo, but usually regarded as HAKURAKU.
Meaning of HAKURAKU is "A man who discovers one in a thousand".
And originally the word stood for "A master at judging of horse".
Moreover, in far distant past, HAKURAKU was a name of a certain star holding Pegasus under control.
For that reason, HAKURAKU was going to used as an alias standing for a good judge of horse. So, Sonyo was the first man regarded as HAKURAKU.

As the proverb goes, "There must be HAKURAKU in the beginning.
And then a swift horse will be come to the world at the hand of HAKURAKU.
A horse can run a thousand miles a day will be born in any age.
Antithetically, a HAKURAKU is a rare sight".
Even there is a horse able to run a thousand miles per day, it won't be developed its natural talent without encounter with somebody like HAKURAKU.
In fact, a good horse cannot become a finest horse without being discovered.
Sonyo allegedly had ability to recognize ability of good horse at a glance.

As it is now, the significance of this proverb does not always apply only to discover a finest horse but also to do that in all areas.

In reality, a young genius chief sake brewer, Mr. Iwao Niizawa made a meteoric rise from obscurity, and then brewed new sake, HAKURAKUSEI, by devoting himself single-mindedly to it.
HAKURAKU’s meaning is "A master at judging of horse" and SEI’s meaning is a Star.

He finally revived the brewer company.
The artistic sake, HAKURAKUSEI, has been come into the world by his far beyond ready-made idea such as untiring efforts and complete affectionate manual labor.
The artistic and height of being, HAKURAKUSEI is suggestive of Ms. Gailene Stock, Director of Royal Ballet School in Britain for many extraordinary common grounds between the two. Ms. Gailene Stock has accomplished the status of Royal Ballet School as the top ballet school in the world.

What we mean is that they will never settle for anything less in order to produce quality targets.
They define 100% completion as the objectives and then find their ways into the target step by step no matter how challenging it may be.
And then they always make it come true.
The method is clear, and the stance on objective is totally fair and hot-blooded one.
Any efforts and burden occurring in the course of their coals are not just exacting task. That must be more than joyful engagement in producing the finest objectives.

At one time there was a finest horse groomed in high esteem by HAKURAKU.
The horse was appreciated its talent by Yoshitsune Minamoto, and then it ran up to the sky at the last.
Above all things, because of HAKURAKU, the location could be correctly qualified for discovering talented personnel.
